The Buddhist Society is the main society which organizes the annual alms giving & the Pirith ceremony memorizing the Hon. Founder of our school and also the anniversary of the school. All the religious ceremonies of the school [Vesak festival, Poson festival and etc] are organized by this society. Every year the society organizes an alms-giving at the temple of tooth relic (DaladaMaligawa) too.
SINHALA LANGUAGE UNIT

The Sinhala Language Unit is organized with the objective of improving the students’ knowledge on Sinhala Language and Literature. With the support of all the Sinhala teachers they contribute in participating students in islandwide competitions and holds a Sinhala Language Day annually.

The Primary Sinhala Language Unit specially focuses on uplifting the basic knowledge of students on their mother tongue. Students are provided opportunities to improve their abilities in Sinhala Language through this association.
ENGLISH UNIT

English Unit is to improve the students’ skills in English Language such as writing, recitation, drama and etc. as a global language. This society paves the way for them to get the achievements in various competitions and also to find new knowledge in the world through the improvement of the language.

Tamil unit Aims to uplift the knowledge and skills on Tamil language as a second language in Sri Lanka. It produces students with good skills in speaking and writing Tamil language to the society.

This unit performs an important role by controlling vehicles at the main gates of the school, & ensuring the protection of the students at the beginning & the end of the school. The main aim of the unit is to develop the self-confidence, leadership & personality of the students.

Astronomy is a natural science that deals with the study of celestial objects such as moon, planets, stars, nebulae and galaxies. Astronomy club in the school has been working to further the cause of promotion of scientific temperament in the student community.Aim and Objectives of the Astronomy club isto promote and foster the development of astronomy and related technology,to encourage and foster associations and groups interested in astronomy including other organizations, clubs and schools,to cooperate with, advise and assist students interested in the science and hobby of astronomy.

Globe society currently comprises with 75 was established in the latter part of 2002. The aim of this society is to build up communication among students, teachers and scientists in the world to promote scientific understanding in the study of environment. The members of the society obtain a chance to study about environmental conditions like atmosphere, water, soil and vegetation etc. Society organizes workshop to increase the curiosity among students to do researches.

World Link Society was established in February 2007. This society carries out DFID Global School Partnership programme co-ordinated by the British Council in Colombo. The students gain novel experiences in various aspects, such as awareness of global issues, understanding different global cultures etc. which shape their future with true spirit of global dimensions. Students exchange views with their partner school, Kineton High school at Warwickshire in UK through this society. Both schools together carry out curriculum-based projects & activities. Both schools won the reciprocal visit grant and since year 2010 every year a group of students along with teachers got a chance to visit their partner school.
